“There’s so much more.”

That’s what kept going around and around in my head a few years ago.

But there was also -- “Damaly, don’t be ungrateful/silly/unreasonable”.

After several "years in the wilderness" after graduating from film school, I had finally made it. Cushy job, cushy benefits, free lunches, what else could I possibly ask for.

But something inside me kept screaming, this still isn't it.

I wanted to live my life to the fullest and play it full out, and I knew I wasn’t doing that.

Finally I listened, I couldn’t keep covering that up.

Little by little, I fought the demons that told me to shut up, and go back to being uncontent and grateful for it.

But I couldn’t ignore my true desire… to make a living as a creative.

I just didn’t know how to do it or where to start.

Like most signs it came when I least expected it right before a long-awaited vacation to Bali.

While planning for it, I unearthed a fancy DSLR camera that my uncle had given me as a graduation present.

Something sparked when I saw the camera - and the dreams that I’d been ignoring since the day I decided I needed to get a “real” job after graduating with my Masters flooded back to me.

I blew the dust off my camera and put it in my suitcase.

That was the beginning.

While I’d love to say that I came back from Bali with stunning photos that catapulted me to instant Instagram stardom, the reality of what followed was more complicated.

The vacation actually made me realize how damn HARD it could be to plan, style and pose for beautiful photos.

BUT it lit a fire inside of me to figure that out for myself... and for other women.

I knew I had to see this through.

Fast forward four years, I now run my photography business full-time from my home studio in New York City, I get to work with inspiring, passionate women who are using their voices and platforms to uplift others, and listening this calling has allowed for me to open up to many more. I am finally claiming the title of writer as well. (That took a long time to own.)

I’ve made it my business to live an extraordinary life that I get to define and I want to help support you in doing the same.

Whether that’s through the lens of my camera, or through my words or videos. I’d love to be apart of your extraordinary life, vision and business even in the smallest way.

Here’s how can you work with me
